This page explains, in plain language, what Azalea Pets collects and where it goes. Azalea is a small, early product; this policy will grow as it does, and we'll date every change above.
Your account: your email address, the name you sign up with, your password (stored only as a secure hash — we can't see it), and confirmation that you're 18 or older. Your pets: everything you choose to record — names, birthdays, breeds, health conditions, medications, vet details, weights, notes, and photos. Your conversations: chats with Azalea are saved to your account so they work like a messaging history. We don't collect your location, contacts, or anything from elsewhere on your device.
Your data is stored with Supabase (our database and photo storage provider) in the United States. Every record is protected by access rules so that only your signed-in account can read your data. Photos live in private storage and are served through expiring links.
Azalea's intelligence comes from third-party AI models. When you send a message or photo, that content — along with your pet's record, so answers can be personal — is transmitted to AI infrastructure to generate the reply. We route these requests through OpenRouter, Inc. (a U.S. company) with data retention for training disabled on our requests. Photos you send are analyzed once to produce a response and are not stored by the AI provider; the copy saved to your pet's timeline stays in your private storage. We do not sell your data, and we don't use your data to train models ourselves.
No selling or renting your information. No advertising built on your pets. No sharing your data with anyone except the infrastructure providers above, which are required to operate the product, or if the law compels us.
Deleting a pet in the app permanently removes that pet's record, timeline, and photos. To delete your entire account and everything in it, email privacy@azaleapets.com from your account address and we'll erase it within 7 days. Self-serve account deletion is coming.
Pet health details you record are treated as the most sensitive thing we hold: they're used only to personalize Azalea's answers and your pet's record, never for anything else. Azalea is not a veterinarian and this app is not a medical device — see the Terms.
